Man charged with abduction after keeping from girlfriend from leaving his car

At 1:49 a.m. Dec. 20, officers were made aware of a domestic incident in a vehicle that had been called into Mayfield Village police and ended at the Georgetown Condos on Cedar Road in Lyndhurst. The woman said she went to the man’s place of work around 8:30 p.m. to break up with him because he is abusive, and she learned he had previously been charged with abduction. She said for the next several hours, he restrained her from the vehicle and drove around the area aimlessly until bringing her to her home in Lyndhurst, where they remained in his car.
