East Jefferson General's future: LCMC Health acquired East Jefferson General Hospital in 2020 and spent the last two years stabilizing the 50-year-old Metairie hospital's finances. But the company's long-term plan for the publicly-owned hospital is becoming clear with an announcement linked to LCMC's purchase of three Tulane University Medical Center hospitals. Questions about clothing: Mayor LaToya Cantrell reimbursed her image consultant for clothes bought for her — purchases that are now the subject of a federal probe — the consultant's lawyer says.
