Bing Crosby was one of Hollywood's most beloved entertainers, but beginning in the 1960s, he, his wife Kathryn, and their family made their home in an elegant, 1920s chateau-style mansion in the sedate San Francisco suburb of Hillsborough. Following the recent death of their mother, the five-acre estate is now being sold by the Crosby heirs with an asking price of $40 million. Originally built for businessman Lindsay Howard—fun fact: his father was the owner of the legendary racehorse Seabiscuit—the 11-bedroom spread includes an oval-shaped dining room, a smoking room with a wet bar, a vintage walk-in fridge in the updated kitchen, and separate staff quarters. Meanwhile, on Miami Beach's La Gorce Island, an ultra-modern waterfront home with a staircase inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright's spiral ramp at the Guggenheim Museum in New York has floated onto the market at $88 million.
