Ultra-flexible robot makes
real-time 3D model of various environments

3D reconstruction of tunnels or industrial buildings is time-consuming and expensive.
To simplify this process, imec researchers developed the mapping platform LiBorg.

Their multi-functional robot, based on lidar technology,
allows detailed 3D models of various environments to be built on the fly.
This opens perspectives for the construction sector, security, roadworks, transport, etc…
