Aug. 30, 2022 An early morning fire Tuesday caused extensive damage to the historic John H. Stevens home in Minneapolis. Built around 1850 near the Mississippi River and later moved to Minnehaha Park, it's one of the oldest residential structures in the city. Minneapolis Park Board spokesperson Dawn Sommers says the home will need a detailed damage assessment. Minneapolis fire officials are investigating what started the blaze. Subscribe to our Minnesota Today podcast to get up-to-date news twice daily. |
