On 21 March, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. Speech by Volodymyr at the European Council

On 23 March, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the European Council. He thanked the Member States supporting the creation of a special tribunal and the establishment of a compensation mechanism for the damage caused by the war. Extension on the regulation regarding gas demand reduction

The Commission proposed on 20 March to extend the legislation on coordinated gas demand reduction by one year. This regulation could be maintained until March 2024 with a voluntary gas demand reduction target of 15%. Member States will have to report their gas savings every month instead of every two months.
