Here's why we shouldn't let it happen.
| | It's the final countdown! And if you don't understand the reference, let me point you to this classic tune. Basically, I've had this song in my head ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle confirmed their last day as senior royals this week. You guys, it's really happening!
But before they're left to their own charitable devices, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have a few royal engagements they must attend as representives of the Queen (more on that below). And then ... who knows what they will get up to? Will Meghan work for Disney? Will the couple move to L.A.? Will Harry finally take up yoga? (OK, maybe Harry already does yoga but we have no actual proof!)
Whatever they end up doing, keep an eye on this space because we'll still be reporting their future endeavors — even though they won't be working senior royals, they'll always be a part of the Royal Family.
Aside from the Sussexes, the other royals have been working hard. The Duchess of Cambridge spoke candidly about her experience as a mum (hypnobirthing! Guilt! It's so friggen hard!) on a podcast, and honestly, we loved her candour. Learn more about what she found so "terrifying" below.
And we would be remiss if we didn't talk about Prince Andrew, who is slowly returning to the public eye after being banished from his royal duties. HuffPost Canada Life editor Maija Kappler shared her take on why we shouldn't let the prince take up his old posts again.
Well, that's it for me! Have a great weekend, Royal Watchers! 👑👑

| | | | | Even though Harry and Meghan will soon be cut free from their senior royal duties, they will retain certain titles and privileges as members of the Royal Family.
For instance, the couple will be able to keep their existing royal patronages. Harry, for example, is royal patron of 16 organizations, including the Invictus Games Foundation and Sentabale, while Meghan is a patron of four, including Smart Works and the National Theatre.
The duke and duchess will also retain the following titles: Earl and Countess of Dumbarton, and Baron and Baroness Kilkeel. |
