| | | Fifteen years have past since a majority of California voters approved Proposition 8 — a ban on same-sex marriage. Months after Proposition 8 passed, two LGBTQ couples sued the state over the right to marry, leading Proposition 8 to be overturned and bringing marriage equality to the Golden State.
