Stormy weather: Wednesday saw heavy wind and rains across south Louisiana, spawning a tornado that damaged upwards of 100 structures in and around Slidell and causing widespread power outages and street flooding. In New Orleans, the Sewerage & Water Board was forced to ration power as water pooled in the streets. You'll find our storm coverage here.
New hotel: After several delays, the Caesars New Orleans hotel under construction next to the casino now has a timeframe for opening. Tyler Bridges has the details.
Underfunded in Jefferson: The early childhood education program in Jefferson Parish gets no dedicated public money and is falling well short of demand. So parish leaders are resorting to asking businesses to sponsor seats. Marie Fazio has the story.
