We Are Excited to Announce the Release of Our 2018 Souzão!
A Portuguese variety that is best known for its use in Port production, Souzão as a varietal wine is typically light bodied, with deep color and bright acidity. Planted in 2007 on our estate property in Prosser, the Souzão vines welcome you as you drive up to the tasting room. Now you can taste the fruits of their (and our!) labor with us at the winery, or order some online to be enjoyed at home! It’s bright, lush, and multi layered, and is just begging to be shared at your next dinner party.
For a limited time, the 2018 Souzão will be a bonus pour for those that come in for a tasting. Only 35 cases of this unicorn wine were produced, so don’t hesitate, and get yours now!
MORE ON THE WINE 91% Souzão, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Syrah, 1% Merlot Retail price: $48 Fresh on the nose, the 2018 Souzão begins with plums, licorice, and black currant. Swirling brings aromas of ripe red fruit and spice. The mouthfeel is light bodied, with notes of star apple and dried herbs. The wine has soft tannins, beautiful texture, and remarkable acidity. A beautiful Washington expression of Souzão that you can drink now or in the next 8 years.
