CBS Sports Football Pick Six Newsletter

Mock drafts could look a whole lot different this week following a flurry of free agency moves. Ryan Wilson and Chris Trapasso join me and break down those potential 1st round changes. Also, check out Ryan's latest three-round mock draft.
It's a very special Mock Draft Monday, and that's because CBS Sports HQ rounded up former NFL players and analysts to go pick by pick through the first round of the NFL Draft. With Thomas Rongen serving as the commissioner, we heard from ex-NFL players Brady Quinn, Bryant McFadden and Danny Kanell; NFL insider Jonathan Jones; senior NFL analysts Pete Prisco and myself; senior NFL Draft analyst Ryan Wilson and NFL writer John Breech as we made all 32 picks in the first round.
The Texans are getting all the blame for derailing their future after trading wide receiver Deandre Hopkins (and a Day 3 pick!) for David Johnson's bloated contract and a Day 2 draft pick, but they're not the only team headed in the wrong direction this so far this offseason. CBS Sports NFL insider Jason La Canfora pinpoints six teams whose offseasons are headed in the wrong direction.

The 2020 draft receiver class could be the best group both up top and from a depth standpoint since the 2014 class (Odell Beckham, Mike Evans, Davante Adams, etc.) and everyone has their own top-5 overall. However, a rank and a name doesn't get you very far when trying to figure out which teams will draft which receivers. Ranking the wide receiver class by traits helps unlock potential fits and that's exactly what Chris Trapasso did. Does your team need a speed threat? Or a contested-catch receiver? Chris has you covered.
P.J. Walker quickly became a household name for any XFL fan, but more importantly he caught the eye of several NFL decision makers during his MVP-caliber shortened season. Walker signed quickly with the Panthers and don't be surprised if he gets a chance to play sooner than people expect after the team handed a three-year contract to Teddy Bridgewater. Walker's connection to the Panthers dates back to his collegiate days at Temple where first-year Panthers head coach Matt Rhule was his head coach at the time. With plus athleticism and surprising accuracy, Walker is a perfect fit for a Carolina passing attack headed in a new direction.
It shocked the NFL world as well, but no one was more surprised by Tom Brady's decision to sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers than NFL legend Terry Bradshaw. The quarterback turned analyst still hasn't fully come to terms with why Brady would leave the Patriots and to join the Bucs?!
