And there’s a showdown looming for Will Wade’s team in its regular-season finale against Alabama on Saturday morning at the PMAC. But on a busy, busy weekend in the LSU sporting world, the biggest moment may have come in an early-season thriller at Minute Maid Park in Houston, where the LSU baseball team rallied (more than once) to stun Oklahoma in the 11th inning Friday night, thanks to a walk-off solo homer by Jordan Thompson. As for LSU athletics, the action didn’t end there. The LSU softball team split a doubleheader with Troy on Friday, losing the first game and winning the nightcap. Here’s how it all went down.
