Museums across the US responded to last week’s hate crime in Atlanta with statements addressing the lethal consequences of xenophobia against AAPI communities in the country, which has spiked since the beginning of the pandemic.
Los Angeles-area museums were given the green light to reopen and while some have already announced their reopening dates, others are still finalizing plans to reopen this summer.
More than 600 part-time faculty members at the New School in New York City signed a petition denouncing “skyrocketing healthcare costs” prompted by a change in the university’s healthcare plan this year.
