At a breakfast hosted by the Indianapolis Business Journal, Aerospace Industries Association President and CEO Eric Fanning highlighted that hiring workers from more diverse backgrounds is a priority for the industry. Less than a quarter of the aerospace and defense industry workforce is female, a survey shows.

Health insurance premiums, deductibles up in 2017
The average premium for employer-sponsored health insurance increased 4.4% for self-only coverage last year, with employees picking up about a quarter of the cost, according to an analysis of federal data. The average deductible on single-coverage plans rose to $1,808.
