As we prepare to close out the year, the City’s Business and Economic Development team want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible achievements of 2024 and to thank you for being a vital part of our dynamic business community. Together, we've accomplished so much, and it’s been a privilege to support and celebrate your success. Here are just a few of this year’s highlights: 🎁 Supporting Local Businesses: We proudly delivered $200,000 in business grants, supporting 66 businesses to grow, innovate, and thrive. 🌊 Driving Industry Growth: We were proud to sponsor Engineering Ocean Solutions and deliver Defence industry briefings, strengthening key sectors in our region. 🎉 Sold-Out Events: Our International Women’s Day event was a resounding success, uniting and empowering women in business. 🌏 Global Recognition: The third Cockburn Global Conference received 5-star feedback, showcasing our City’s innovation on an international stage. 🚀 Empowering Entrepreneurs: Through funded programs and sponsorships valued at over $35,000, businesses participated in Curtin Ignition, Blue Gravity, and the Thrive program, unlocking opportunities for growth and collaboration. 🤝 Building Connections: We hosted 22 workshops and micro-business networking events, engaging over 200 local businesses in shared learning and connection. 🏗️ Exciting Developments Ahead: To cap off the year, we’re thrilled to announce that the Henderson Research & Innovation Hub has been approved for 2025 by Council, paving the way for groundbreaking advancements in our community. Our team is incredibly proud to contribute to such a vibrant, forward-thinking business environment. We’re excited about what lies ahead in 2025 and look forward to continuing our partnership with you to drive innovation and growth in the coming year. |
