Dubai is anticipated to see an influx of wealthy ‘retirees’ from around the world, with city-based proptech firms reporting a surge in queries for residential real estate investments in the aftermath of the waiver on minimum upfront investments for property purchases required under the 10-year Golden Visa rule.

In addition, here’s a list of Dubai’s top neighbourhoods for family homes for less than AED120,000 in annual rent, according to Property Finder’s House Prices calculator.

Meanwhile, Ras Al Khaimah Customs thwarted two attempts to smuggle around 11 kilograms of narcotics last week at Ras Al Khaimah International Airport. RAK Customs said customs inspectors suspected two passengers arriving at the airport based on their security sense, training, and attention to detail. When inspecting the passengers’ luggage thoroughly, inspectors uncovered the drugs hidden professionally.

Aside from this, as the holy month of Ramadan continues as a time of fasting, reflection and spiritual growth, here are some of the do’s and don’ts according to an etiquette expert.

In other news, Reddit recently went public in one of the most anticipated IPOs of the year. But despite early trading success that saw shares surge 48 percent on day one, the company faces major challenges that could affect its future as questions linger about its financial viability and business model. Now the question is whether Reddit can maintain its unique identity while convincing investors it is a sustainable business – not just an online curiosity.
