Check out the latest updates from Arabian Business, where our editorial team has compiled the region's developments from Monday:

In a region steeped in history and brimming with opportunity, these leaders stand out not only for their business acumen but for their ability to push boundaries, redefine industries, and chart bold new courses. The Arabian Business Inspiring Leaders List isn’t just a roll call of success stories; it’s a testament to resilience, foresight, and the sheer will to transform both companies and communities. These figures aren’t just leading – they’re trailblazing.

In other news, the surge in tourist inflows and rising rentals are steering a new trend in the multi-billion-dollar food and beverage (f&b) sector in Dubai – to go the modular way to expand their footprints fast and cost-effective, setting up mobile eatery and coffee pop-ups and food trucks at vantage points across the city.

On the real estate front, SOL Properties has started construction of Fairmont Residences Solara Tower Dubai, elevating the regional real estate landscape. Fairmont Residences Solara Tower Dubai will offer residents access to integrated services and luxurious amenities, including a private swimming pool, fitness centre, and spa, delivering a hotel-like experience within the comfort of their own home and positioning the tower as a significant landmark.

Aside from this, most Dubai parents travel between neighbourhoods as part of the daily school run, according to a Yango Maps survey. The aim of the survey was to find out how parents deal with the ‘back-to-school’ season and which critical features they desire in a navigation app to simplify their daily commutes. The survey reveals that most parents (72 per cent) find preparing for the new school season time-consuming, with 67 per cent starting preparations as early as one to three months in advance.

In other major developments, Bahrain has announced a new tax as it looks to adhere to international standards. The introduction of a Domestic Minimum Top-up Tax (DMTT) for Multinational Enterprises (MNEs) is outlined in Decree Law (11) of 2024. The new framework for Multinational Enterprises (MNEs) is fully aligned with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) guidelines, and will be effective January 1, 2025, underscoring Bahrain’s commitment to promoting global economic fairness and transparency.
