Check out the latest updates from Arabian Business, where our editorial team has compiled the region's developments from Monday:

Flying taxis will take off in Dubai by 2026, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). Dubai is set to become the first city in the world with a commercial, city-wide electric aerial taxi service and vertiport network.

Meanwhile, the emirate's luxury residential market has seen extraordinary growth in recent years with high net-worth clients flocking to the emirate to snap up properties, spurring comparisons to long-established cities like London and Los Angeles, real estate experts told Arabian Business.

In addition, the Dubai Future Foundation is looking ahead to a world with more robots, alternative energy sources and even the end of disease. Nanoscale printing, biomaterials, explainable AI (XAI) and next-gen climate technologies are also among the potentially world-changing megatrends identified in the second edition of Dubai Future Foundation’s annual report published on Monday.

Aside from this, in what is seen as a major relief for India-born entrepreneur Bavaguthu Raghuram Shetty, popularly known as BR Shetty, an Indian High Court has reportedly held the practice of authorising the heads of the public sector banks in India to issue lookout circular (LOC) as invalid.

Following the current weather conditions in the UAE, workplaces and schools have been told to work and study from home again on Tuesday, February 13 amid ongoing concerns over weather and safety. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai issued instructions for government entities to have a remote-working day.
