“Legacy is like a gift,” Easa Al Gurg, Group CEO of Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group said at the Arabian Business Leadership Summit 2024. In a panel discussion titled “Legacy Building” Al Gurg shared his insights on legacy, sustainable growth and leadership.

In addition, StarzPlay, a leading OTT streaming platform in the MENA region, has seen steady growth since its launch in 2015, driven by localisation, strategic partnerships, and a resilient leadership team that has remained intact from the start, the company's co-founder and CEO of StarzPlay, Maaz Sheikh discussed at the Arabian Business Leadership Summit 2024.

In other news, Rishi Sunak has announced dates for a General Election in the UK. The General Election to name the next UK government will be held on July 4, 2024. The announcement was made in a surprise statement from the doorstep of 10 Downing Street in London.

Meanwhile, Gen Z workers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia are uncomfortable talking to older colleagues, according to new research from LinkedIn. The professional network reveals a gap between Gen Z and their older colleagues at work, and career echo chambers could be to blame. The research also shows, however, that Gen Z are aware of the value of this missed opportunity, as three quarters in the UAE and KSA point to better communication as a means to improve workplace productivity, learning opportunities and team morale.

Aside from this, UAE holidaymakers are looking to Thailand, Maldives, USA, Türkiye, and the UK as their preferred destinations for summer vacations, according to dnata Travel. The travel provider has identified the top holiday destinations from the UAE over summer 2024. An ever-popular destination for UAE-based travellers, the Maldives is witnessing significant growth compared to the same period in 2023, with bookings up an impressive 108 per cent between June and September 2024.
