On Monday, Arabian Business covered some of the most happening stories in the region, which included the Dubai luxury branded property segment predicted to see a massive surge in 2024, Address Fountain Views' name change and more.

That said, here are five trending stories you missed yesterday.

The luxury branded property segment in Dubai – as also in other emerging markets such as Ras Al Khaimah – is predicted to see a massive surge in 2024, with expectations of sooner-than-later cut in interest rates, together with leading developers’ bid to add more advanced sustainability, technology and unique lifestyle elements in their upcoming projects driving demand, industry insiders said.

In addition, Dubai’s market for timeshares has grown steadily since new regulations were introduced in 2021, and experts believe it is poised for further growth in 2024 after a record year for luxury real estate that saw property prices soar past previous market peaks.

In another major development, Address Fountain Views, the hospitality development under Emaar Hospitality has announced a major rebranding with changes effective Monday, January 8. The development will now officially be called Address Dubai Mall.

Aside from this, Arabian Business also discovered high-end clientele including Premier League footballers, wealthy families, and influencers are now buying more lab-grown diamonds, a Dubai-based jeweller revealed, as natural diamonds continue to lose importance.

On the travel front, a debate has been going on in airplane cabins over reclining seats, making it a controversial topic among passengers. The question of whether it’s rude to recline your seat mid-flight delves into the realms of personal space, common courtesy, and the battle for comfort in the skies.
