The third edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit 2025 will take place in Dubai from January 11 to 13. Organised by the UAE Government Media Office under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the event focuses on advancing the digital content industry regionally and globally. The Summit, under the theme "Content For Good," will be held at Emirates Towers, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), and the Museum of the Future.

Meanwhile, Coldplay’s concert in Abu Dhabi is increasing demand in the travel and hospitality sectors. Hotels in the city are reporting up to 300 percent increases in tariffs during the event days. Alternative accommodations, such as homestays and vacation rentals, are also experiencing higher demand. The British rock band will perform at Zayed Sports City Stadium on January 9, 11, 12, and 14.

On the real estate front, Sobha Realty has announced the top nationalities investing in its projects in Dubai. Investors include individuals from India, China, Iran, the UK, and the US, with different projects attracting varied investor interest.

In addition, AMIS Development has completed enabling works for The Woodland Residences in Dubai’s District 11, Meydan. The AED425 million development, launched in January 2024, spans 220,000 square feet of sellable area and sold out within a week of its launch.

In other news, a survey by Bayt.com and Markelytics Solutions has highlighted differences in job satisfaction between men and women in the MENA region. Men are more likely to switch jobs, receive bonuses, and express satisfaction with their salary. The survey gathered responses from over 1,200 employed individuals across the GCC, North Africa, and the Levant, covering aspects such as compensation, work-life balance, job security, and professional growth.
