Companies in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and across the UAE have been told to work from home on Monday, February 12 due to safety concerns amid unstable weather. Bad weather was also reported in Oman.

Aside from this, Dubai’s Fundamental Hospitality will debut Sirene by GAIA, the world’s largest beach club spanning 9,000 square metres, taking the iconic GAIA restaurant brand beachside.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Airports, attended a ceremony to rename Abu Dhabi International Airport as Zayed International Airport, in honour of the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

In addition, Dubai Customs managed 46,870,957 bags from 206,396 flights and averaged 128,400 bags daily last year, according to official figures. The focus is on ensuring traveller satisfaction and enhancing their experience.

The emirate also now has the world’s first mobile floating fire station. In a significant initiative that reinforces its leadership in safety infrastructure and innovation, Dubai Civil Defence launched the stunning project. The initiative reflects Dubai’s strategy to constantly enhance its fire and rescue services and raise environmental sustainability.
