The UAE has announced a new cabinet ministry making senior positions to Government in the country. The announcements were made by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The appointments and changes to the UAE Cabinet were made following consultation with President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, with several senior roles and positions being named and confirmed to enhance leadership and efficiency in the country.

On the real estate front, Dubai real estate investors are turning to bank financing options to purchase properties with less burden on down payments to buy in off-plan developments. In a significant development for the real estate sector in Dubai, banks are increasingly implementing financing options for off-plan property projects. This move aims to facilitate the purchase of off-plan properties by offering more flexible payment plans, thereby making it easier for potential homeowners and investors to secure their desired properties.

In other major developments, Dubai Police saved a motorist after they received a call about a malfunctioning cruise control of a car driving on Sheikh Zayed Road. Dubai Police traffic patrols, working in coordination with the Command and Control Centre, were able to rescue the driver whose vehicle’s cruise control had unexpectedly malfunctioned. The driver had called the emergency 999 number to request urgent assistance as they could not control the situation.

Meanwhile, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched trials of the world’s first 3D-printed electric abra. The abra, which can carry 20 passengers, was designed, and built to retain the traditional abra identity in collaboration with the private sector. This initiative supports the government’s efforts to achieve Dubai’s 3D printing strategy.

Aside from this, Former President Donald Trump was shot in the head in an assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, USA. Donald Trump was giving a speech to supporters when gunfire began and the former President was seen ducking down clutching his ear, before being surrounded by Secret Service security. Moments later, bleeding from the ear, Donald Trump was seen to raise his had to supporters and was bundled from the stage by Secret Service and taken to hospital.
