Finding a reasonably priced rental property has grown increasingly difficult in Dubai as rents continue to rise sharply. However, there are still some neighbourhoods in the emirate where tenants can rent a two-bedroom apartment for under AED60,000 per year.

Meanwhile, several destinations have emerged as popular choices for travellers from the UAE seeking to holiday abroad during this year’s Eid Al Fitr celebration. Data from regional online travel agency Wego showed increased searches from the UAE for destinations across Europe, Asia and Africa.

In other news, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai announced that the Mothers’ Endowment campaign, launched on March 4, has raised more than $400m in just three weeks.

On the education front, Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has allowed private schools in Dubai to adjust their fees for the 2024-25 academic year, following the results of the Educational Cost Index (ECI). Fee adjustments must be approved by the KHDA under the School Fees Framework and are tied to each school’s latest inspection rating.

Aside from this, Arabian Business reached out to experts to understand: Should interns be paid?
