UAE developers are investing over $3 billion in Maldivian luxury real estate projects through 2030. The investment is expected to transform the Maldives into a second-home market for the ultra-wealthy, with potential returns of up to 20 percent, experts told Arabian Business.

In other news, KeyMavens Real Estate Development launched Montage - The Al Jaddaf, Dubai’s first urban residential resort, set for completion in 2027. Engel & Völkers Middle East will oversee sales and marketing for the project, which includes one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments.

Aside from this, Dubai will launch ISEZA, the UAE’s first dedicated sports and entertainment business cluster within a Free Zone. Located at Dubai World Trade Centre Free Zone, ISEZA will streamline licensing and support businesses in sports management, marketing, event management, talent representation, and media broadcasting.

On the transport front, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority is implementing the next-generation UTC-UX Fusion system, using AI and digital twin technology to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion by up to 20 percent. The system is expected to be completed by the first half of 2026.

Meanwhile, Padel is growing in popularity in Dubai, with over 250 courts now available across the city.The number of courts and players continues to increase as the sport shifts from a niche activity to a widely played game. But what is driving this growth and is it here to stay?
