The UAE introduced its first federally licensed lottery, offering a grand prize draw of AED100 million ($27.2 million) and various gaming options. Operated by The Game LLC under the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), the inaugural draw will be held on December 14. Residents aged 18 and above can participate through the official website. Additional features include guaranteed AED100,000 prizes through “Lucky Chance IDs” and scratch cards with winnings up to AED1 million.

Meanwhile, global brands are increasingly investing in sports sponsorships as a key marketing strategy. Hisense MEA highlighted its partnerships with FIFA and Real Madrid as ways to connect with audiences worldwide. The company emphasised the value of such collaborations, extending beyond brand visibility to creating deeper consumer engagement.

On the real estate front, ZāZEN Properties announced The Hub Residences by ZāZEN, a LEED-certified residential development in Al Furjan. The company has partnered with One Broker Group as the exclusive sales agent for the project. The launch aligns with a growing focus on sustainable housing and community-centred living in the UAE’s real estate sector.

In addition, the trend towards affordable housing in Dubai has led to buyers splitting budgets to purchase two properties: one for personal use and the other for rental income. This strategy is influencing demand for homes in areas such as Dubai Hills, Meydan, and Dubai Creek, where rental activity is expected to increase by 2025.

In Saudi Arabia, Riyadh Metro will begin operations on December 1, with a phased opening of its lines. Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud inaugurated the project, which aims to strengthen public transport in the capital. The metro features advanced design and technology, supporting Saudi Arabia’s broader infrastructure development plans.
