AB Espresso: Zayed National Museum announces Abu Dhabi opening

The Zayed National Museum in Abu Dhabi will open to the public in December 2025. Located in the Saadiyat Cultural District, the museum will honour the UAE’s Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, through exhibitions, research, and public programming.

In other new developments, WOOHOO, a new restaurant featuring an AI-powered chef, is set to open in September 2025 at Kempinski The Boulevard Hotel in Dubai. Developed by Gastronaut Hospitality, the concept includes Chef Aiman, a large language model trained on food science and recipes.

In Saudi Arabia, the kingdom has officially launched the Esports World Cup 2025. Hosted in Riyadh, the event aims to establish the kingdom as a central hub for competitive gaming. Organisers plan to expand on the achievements of last year’s event and develop a sustainable esports ecosystem.

Aside from this, Lucid Group has set a new electric vehicle range record with its Air Grand Touring model, covering 1,205km on a single charge. The journey spanned from St. Moritz, Switzerland to Munich, Germany, surpassing the previous 2025 record of 1,045km.

Meanwhile, art is increasingly being included in investor portfolios in the Middle East, with growing interest from ultra-high-net-worth individuals and family offices. Global art market sales reached $65 billion in 2023, with the US, China, and the UK leading in transaction volume.
