In Northern Virginia, the organizers of First Night Alexandria have cancelled their waterfront fireworks show that's typically one of the largest in the DMV.
Police said 19 detainees were involved in the uprising. Seven have been charged as adults with rioting, second-degree escape, and malicious destruction of property.
