Far from a deal: The Archdiocese of New Orleans and hundreds of victims of child sexual abuse are still far from a deal that would allow the church to emerge from bankruptcy protection, Stephanie Riegel reports. What’s worse, she reports, the process has become bogged down with drawn-out legal disputes.
‘Mr. Shrimp’: A well-known seafood guy with a catchy name is setting up a new shop. “Mr. Shrimp” has opened a permanent stand in the Riverwalk Outlets mall. Ian McNulty has the story.
More money than you: Louisiana’s “richest person” is Raising Canes founder Todd Graves. At least that’s according to one media organization’s “richest people” compilations.
Grading the Saints: The other day in Lunch Line our Saints coverage team handed out grades for the Black and Gold’s offense. (Not good.) Today, we offer the grades for the defense. (Better, but not great.) And coaching. (Meh.) And be sure to check out all of our Saints coverage here.
Thanks for reading Lunch Line. If you're not a subscriber to NOLA.com, here's our best offer for you. Cheers, Bob |
