Broussard movie theater closes

Happy fall Friday, Acadiana business news readers. Let's get right to the headlines.

Celebrity Theatres in Broussard has closed after the building was sold earlier this week.

The 10-screen theater, which opened nearly 20 years ago, announced this morning it has closed its doors permanently. The building was purchased by Billeaud Companies of Broussard at an undisclosed price, land records show.

The Broussard company is seeking requests for proposals for the property.
