More on the shakeup at KATC

by Adam Daigle | Acadiana business editor

Good morning, Acadiana business news readers. Let's get right to the headlines.

More details of the changes coming to KATC shook out on Monday following longtime anchors Marcelle Fontenot and Jim Hummel announcing their plans to leave the station on Friday. It's part of a reorganization at the station that will mostly eliminate its live local news programs at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 10 p.m., station and E.W. Scripps officials confirmed.

Most news shows will be pre-recorded but will include live spots when "Acadiana needs us to be live," they said. Weather reports will also be still be live.

It's part of a companywide shift to focus more on reporting.

Check out the story here.

Thanks for reading and have a great day.
