BY ADAM DAIGLE | Staff writer Good morning to all of you, Acadiana Business newsletter readers. Hurricane season is here and Francine is arriving soon, but it's veering more east. So stay for the headlines. Kim Nehrbass drove all the way from Lafayette to check on his camp in Pecan Island in Vermilion Parish on Monday as Tropical Storm Francine heads toward southwest Louisiana. Mosquitos swarmed while he put on his boots to wade through the last week's waters, which have overtaken his downstairs shed. "I think I've got about everything that is going upstairs out from under the camp now," said Nehrbass, a 69-year-old retired general contractor. You can read the story here. Have a great day and thanks for reading. |
