Communicating information about the Standards of GRAP and their adoption, issuing FAQs, Fact Sheets and other communication material, and facilitating discussions on the application of the Standards are critical to the ASB’s work.
Our primary communication platform is the ASB website, and we generate frequent content for our Newsletter and social media platforms – LinkedIn, X, FacebookandYouTube. Most of these activities are undertaken by the Secretariat rather than the Board.
We heard from stakeholders that these types of activities have a high impact, and we are investing significant time in communication and support initiatives. We propose to invest an even greater proportion of our time in these activities in the 2027 to 2029 work programme. Proposed new activities
GRAP Knowledge Hub - The Office of the Accountant-General (OAG) produces valuable resources to support entities in applying the Standards of GRAP and respond to technical queries. The OAG developed a GRAP Knowledge Hub which is a central platform for GRAP related content. The Knowledge Hub will also include the Modified Cash Standard, with material that supports the transition to accrual accounting. We will play a key supporting role to the OAG by contributing and maintaining content on the Knowledge Hub. This is likely to require dedicated ASB staff resources.
LAUNCH OF THE KNOWLEDGE HUB: There is a virtual launch of the GRAP Knowledge Hub on 31 January 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00. Click here to register and secure your spot.
Question to stakeholders:

What content do you believe will be useful to include on the GRAP Knowledge Hub? Please provide details.
Keeping the mandate of the ASB in mind, are there any other activities that we could undertake to better facilitate and encourage stakeholder engagement and support?
