Accused carjacker shot. And the biggest Pels game of the season.

By Bob Warren

Carjack shooting: A 17-year-old was shot in the neck Thursday night in the Bywater, allegedly by the person the teen was trying to carjack, a police source tells us. It happened around 7 p.m. in the 500 block of Louisa Street. Here’s what we know.

Let's Go Pels! Do or die. Make or break. Win or go home. Choose your sports jargon – the Pelicans play BIGGEST game of the season tonight. Beat the Clippers in San Diego, and earn a waaay-improbable playoff berth. And the Clippers will be without a key player. Let’s go Pels!

More Grim Health News: New infections of some sexually-transmitted diseases increased during the pandemic, and Louisiana is among the states with the highest spread.

Keeping it Real(World): Remember the “The Real World: New Orleans”? The MTV show tossed a bunch of 20-somethings together in a house and ran the cameras as the sparks flew. Well, they’re returning to New Orleans 22 years later for a reunion. It’ll all be on video, of course. Missy Wilkinson has the details here.

Love Story: Who doesn’t love a love story? Kristine Froeba offers one today that will put a smile on your face, a sweet tale six decades in the making. Enjoy!

Hope you enjoyed today’s Lunch Line. Thanks for taking a break with us. And of course, be sure to check out NOLA.com for more news throughout the day.
