In the report ‘Generating creative value and resilience in pandemic times’, we found out how Philippine-based hubs from our Creative Innovators Programme are generating ‘creative value added’ for their members.

Mayflowers project
 

Art connects communities

The Mayflowers Project has been offering flowers to loved ones, and it ends on 30 May through a virtual gathering. Part of Kamustahan Art Projects, it brings together Filipino labour migrants, artists and activists across the diaspora. This is led by Nathalie Dagmang (PH) and Dr Deirdre McKay (UK), supported by the CTC digital collaboration grant.

UNESCO and the City University of London recently launched a call for participation for an eight-week online training course on creative economy. Take the module for free through a scholarship from the Republic of Korea.

Opportunities for higher education

We launched ACT-IHE, a three-year initiative in partnership with the Commission on Higher Education. This aims to increase access to quality higher education while building competitiveness of higher educational institutions in the Philippines.
