Southeast Asian artists receive Unlimited awards

We are pleased to announce the winners of the British Council Unlimited Micro Awards, which aims to facilitate partnerships and collaboration between disabled artists and collectives in the UK and internationally. Rhine Bernardino (Edinburgh/PH) and Ahmed Nugroho (ID) will highlight the beauty of sign language using food to connect arts and communities.

The creative turn in the sciences

Explore how artists, designers, scientists and inventors can bring art and science together to enhance the value and impact that both worlds can create. Connections Through Culture research grantee Dr Diego Maranan, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Studies at the UP Open University, UK alumnus, and an arts-science practitioner has recommended a framework for stronger collaboration between both practices.

Join Creative Futures

Creative Futures 2022 is a digital conference from 28-29 July that connects innovators, policymakers, investors and academia to develop and promote creative sectors around the world. It is organised by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM).

New courses for creative hubs and professionals

Our Creative Communities Learning Lab is offering two new courses on creative collaboration and responsible design. With stories of resilience, challenges and innovation, these free online courses are perfect for creative practitioners looking to upskill or reskill.

Call for papers: New Directions conference in Bali

We are inviting educators to submit papers for the New Directions East Asia conference. This year’s conference convenes in Bali, Indonesia from 8–10 December with the theme 'Bridging Divides: Towards a comprehensive approach to language teaching, learning and assessment'.
