The Missing Pillar Talks: Common Sense and The Community

The Missing Pillar Talks invites you on Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 March 9.00 p.m. to 1.00 a.m. PH / 1.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. UK time. Filipino filmmaker Joanna Vasquez Arong will have a screening on her multi-awarded film, To Calm the Pig Inside.

How do hubs generate creative value?

We commissioned Creative Friction to research the impact of our Creative Innovators Programme on the ability of Philippine hubs to generate added creative value for their members. This study also explores how hubs have shaped the resilience of their respective communities during the Covid-19 pandemic. Three creative hubs were selected for in-depth research: Common Room, CraftMNL and Film Producers Society.

A global agenda for cultural and creative industries

As part of the International Year of Creative Economy for Sustainable Development, the Policy and Evidence Center (PEC) International Council has set out 11 key actions for organisations and governments worldwide. They aim to support the growth of creative industries and help the sector tackle some of the biggest challenges of the 21st century.
