On this day in 1970, The Canberra Times reported on the amazing survival story of a very lucky young boy. Michael John Greg, from Narrabundah, was only five years old when he was buried in a pit, under sand dumped by a truck. The driver had warned the boy and his brother to keep clear however he was unable to move out of the way in time and was quickly buried underneath the mountain of sand. READ MORE
