Anti-corporate activist group SumofUs has launched a campaign against tech corporation Apple’s compliance with the Chinese government’s censorship demands in order to remain operating in the world’s most populous country.

American processor maker Qualcomm says 5G network rollouts are progressing at a much faster rate when compared to 4G and, on a global scale, it expects over 20 operators to launch 5G service and over 20 OEMs to have 5G devices in the first twelve months after the first commercial launch.

A Swinburne University PhD student has built an automated system that uses artificial intelligence (AI), which the university says revolutionises the ability to detect and capture fast radio bursts (FRBs) in real-time.

Ten months ago, the American news agency Bloomberg published a sensational story claiming that Chinese spies had corrupted the tech supply chain and installed small chips on motherboards which were supplied to the American company Supermicro Computer. Despite being met by a storm of denial, the likes of which is rarely seen, Bloomberg has neither retracted nor corrected the yarn till today.

Australia’s competition regulator, the ACCC, is proposing to authorise a new consumer code for retailers of products such as solar generation systems, energy storage systems, electrical vehicle charging and other emerging energy products and services.
