Conservative activists called for the resignation of the U.S. Department of Education's Catherine Lhamon on Thursday in the wake of the Biden administration's proposed Title IX rule changes, which they warn could interfere with parental rights and further the "erasure" of women-only spaces. "We know that Title IX goes beyond sports titles," warned Annabelle Rutledge, the vice president of advancement and external relations at Concerned Women for America. "It impacts every asset of their future, and even if it didn't, it's still wrong for them to have to work to a certain end and have that stripped away from them by a male." Full Story. |

Republican lawmakers didn't mince words when challenging U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland's response to an FBI memo that warned of "radical-traditionalist Catholic ideology." During a Wednesday hearing, Garland initially hesitated to answer whether traditional Catholics are violent and stated he was unsure whether the memo's author was fired for drafting and circulating the piece. Harvey Saunders of First Baptist Church Hollins in Virginia is coming under fire for refusing to allow a long-time member's family to bury her in the church's cemetery because she was removed from their membership roll for not tithing. The family, who has launched a petition signed by thousands, says the church cashed more than $1,700 in checks from the late grandmother, Alice Mae Garrison, in the seven years prior to her death, during which time she was unable to attend in person due to failing health.
