Oregonian and American families are about to get their third round of automatic monthly expanded Child Tax Credit payments, and they are already having a massive impact.

New research shows that just the first round of Child Tax Credit payments kept 3 million American children out of poverty!

In 2021, for most families, the annual Child Tax Credit is increased to $3,000 for each child between 6 and 17 years old, and to $3,600 for each child under age 6. 

These payments began in July, and are already making an impact for the more than 775,000 Oregon children whose families are eligible.

Democrats passed the expanded Child Tax Credit as part of the American Rescue Plan – and not a single Republican voted to support it.

Now, Democrats are working to extend the Child Tax Credit, or even potentially make it permanent. Will you add your name to support extending the Child Tax Credit?
