| Adelaide flamingos on show |
|
Do you remember Adelaide Zoo’s famous flamingos, Greater and Chile? They were the last living flamingos in Australia and loved by generations of families. Now, these striking birds have been immortalised in the South Australian Museum's mammal display.
Members of the public contributed to the significant cost, like animal lover Michelle Clarke-Edwards, who donated $16,000 after hearing about the SA Museum's fundraising drive on ABC Radio Adelaide Mornings with David Bevan. |

Fruita lovers rejoice...Halls is back! |
|
Adelaide's own Halls soft drinks are making a return to shelves. The Halls soft drink brand existed in South Australia from 1849 to 2000, when it was discontinued after being bought by Coca-Cola.
Even the most organised hoarder was likely to have run out of stock of Fruita, Lemon Twist or Halls Lemonade years ago, but there's hope on the horizon.
New Halls Drinks director Cameron Ballard told ABC Adelaide Breakfast's Ali Clarke why he decided to resurrect the brand. |
