Remembering Chef Miguel Ravago |
Hi everyone. It is with a heavy heart that we share news of the passing of Miguel Ravago, the longtime chef and co-founder of Fonda San Miguel in Austin. Miguel was an incredibly kind soul and such a talent in the kitchen. He was also a friend to Goodtaste with Tanji, agreeing to appear in one of our very first TV episodes just last year. A celebration of his life will be held at Fonda San Miguel on July 2 at 5:30p. We hope to see you there. |

We tapped our Top 3 'poolside sippers' of the moment, which includes the El Diablo [above], a sinister spin on the classic Moscow Mule using aged reposado tequila, ginger beer and a certain black currant liqueur.

The shrimp pieces are bathed in a mouthwatering marinade of olive oil, basil and jalapeño, then sautéed and sprinkled over a fire roasted tomato sauce. Nailed it! |
