Our Atelier Art Club gets going next Tuesday 18th April with experienced artist and tutor Denise Harrison leading the first session. She'll be joined by a variety of teachers over the coming months, exploring a breadth of painting and drawing techniques.

Be a part of this relaxed, creative community and work on your own projects at your own pace, or on set briefs under the guidance of the tutor. It's entirely up to you.

Inspired by our seafront location, Samantha has developed a special pallete of natural dyes for this workshop, and will walk you through all techniques you'll need to create a tonal wall hanging. 22nd April. 10am-4pm, £65.

We're eagerly awaiting our shipment of recent works from printmaker Roman Klonek (currently en route from Dusseldorf and caught up in the post-Brexit snail mail), ahead of his solo show here at Atelier Beside the Sea.

Roman's work has an air of retro advertising posters about it. Described as a bizarre balancing act between propoganda, folklore and pop, he uses the lost-cut technique of woodcut printing - which uses only one plate to print every colour, cutting more away at the plate each time for the next colour. Come and explore his whimsical world.
