For the first time in nearly 20 years, the four kingdoms known as the AFC East are looking for a new king. Tom Brady ruled these eastern lands with an iron fist for 19 years, defining the division by dominating it. With Brady gone south, however, the Patriots are left picking up the pieces while the rest of the division sees a chance to finally take the throne.
But who is worthy? Josh Allen showed flashes of it last season, and with Stefon Diggs added to his receiving corps, the opportunity is there for him to put it all together. If he does, he'll be a Fantasy superstar, and the Bills will run away with the division. Of course, for every high from Allen, there has been an accompanying low, and if he's not ready for prime time, it could lead to disappointment for the Bills and Fantasy players alike.
House Patriot (maybe House Belichick is more fitting) is in need of some repairs, and for Fantasy purposes especially, this might be one of the least inspiring teams in the league. The Jets aren't much farther ahead, unless Adam Gase and Sam Darnold conjure up some magic neither has really shown signs of before. And then there are the Dolphins, who might be fated to serve as the rear guard for the division, but also might have more intriguing Fantasy options than any other team for 2020.
Things are wide open for the first time in a long time. Who will take advantage?
