A federal judge says members of the Louisiana Legislature cannot have more time to work on updated congressional district maps. Qualifying for congressional seats is a month away, and U.S. District Judge Shelly Dick said after a 90-minute hearing Thursday that she won't extend a deadline for developing a map that potentially expands Black representation in the U.S. House. The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office says nearly three dozen cars were broken into at motels and an apartment complex, mainly along Siegen Lane. Deputies sent out photos of who they're looking for.
