Ag Climate Goals Depend on Rural Connectivity

At Trust In Food, we honor and remember the members of the U.S. military who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. I hope each of you had a moment to pay your respects this weekend, as well.

Aptly, our newsletter this week focuses on listening and learning from others. We feature a deep dive into the all-too-real lack of broadband access facing rural America, and hear how that hurts families, farms, and our country’s climate aspirations. We also hear from farmer and ACAM Conservation Steward Brian Doerr, who shares his personal story of transitioning his Iowa farm to cover crops, providing grazing for cattle along the way. And we celebrate the launch of the newest guide from America’s Conservation Ag Movement, this one focused on farmers’ lived experiences with managing water quality and quantity.

There’s so much opportunity to work together and bridge differences by staying focused on the humans at the center of our food and agriculture systems, and we’re just getting started. Have a perspective you’d like us to listen to? Email me at acole@farmjournal.com. I’d love to hear from you.

Yours In Regenerative Ag,

Amy Skoczlas Cole
