WhatsApp Doubles Down on Privacy Policy If you don't accept WhatsApp's new privacy policy by May 15, you'll lose the ability to read or send messages via the app until you do. If you decide to quit, make sure you back up your stuff, as it will delete everything when you cancel. 2. TikTok Aims to Help Users With Eating Disorders TikTok has partnered with the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) for Eating Disorders Awareness Week. The app will show support resources when users search for associated terms or hashtags. Good on TikTok. 3. Apple Beats Samsung for Top Smartphone Sales The war of the handsets continues as Apple overtook Samsung in sales during the last quarter of 2020. According to research firm Gartner, Apple showed year-on-year growth of 14.9 percent while Samsung's sales fell by 11.8 percent over the same time period.
