Good afternoon,

Google search is on life support and Australian companies are bracing for artificial intelligence armageddon.

AI is transforming healthcare, with doctors adopting the technology to transcribe and begin drafting notes, eliminating so-called pajama time – time spent after hours on administrative duties. NexusMD, a new entrant to the market, has just raised $6.3m as it promises to use the AI to perform much more than transcription, with its agents capable of assisting with compliance and documentation.

Ten Pound Poms were a hit 80 years ago, and Australia’s peak tech lobby group is now looking to resurrect elements of that strategy as part of a broader effort to strengthen artificial intelligence capability and help solve a chronic talent shortage.
