Dear John Do,
The German Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) has earmarked EUR 3.8 million for the "AI.Startup.Hub Hamburg", an alliance of six stakeholders from science and industry, to add even more momentum to this mega trend. Hamburg now counts among four model artificial intelligence regions and eight north German start-ups are taking part in the hub’s first scheme. This should demonstrate how business and industry can benefit from artificial intelligence (AI) and encourage even more start-ups. Read more in the latest part of our series on Hamburg’s "Idea accelerators".

In other news, the Hydrogen Aviation Lab is approved, an interim report on Hamburg's climate plan is published and we report on the importance of the cruise industry for the city.

Click on our Hamburg News site to read more daily economic reports from the Hamburg Metropolitan Region in both German and English. We value your opinion and look forward to your feedback.

Sincerely,
Hamburg News Editors
